Yes!, it's that time of the year again here, in the South 

end of the world.  Autumn break has just started and 

I'm honestly so excited I can't even type properly...

Si!, llegó esa época del año otra vez, aquí, en el extremo 

Sur del mundo.  Comenzó el receso de Otoño y la verdad es

que estoy tan emocionada que no puedo ni tipear bien...

  

   

             

  

Contrary to popular belief, this holidays are not the equivalent 

of relaxing afternoons and quiet mornings. Quite the opposite. 

Autumn recess  mean to me, motherhood at its finest...

En contra de la creencia popular, estas vacaciones no equivalen 

a tardes relajadas o mañanas tranquilas. Todo lo contrario. 

El receso de Otoño para mí significa maternidad a pleno...

I’ll have my kids running around the house 24/7, my daughter 

who needs a lift everywhere everyday at the least desirable 

time and, holidays mean to my kids,  free time to hang out with 

friends...in my house, of course!... And by that I mean big 

delicious feasts that made up for the cold and boring weather, 

tons and tons of food, yep!...mine’s (and their friends), 

are growing kids.  

Tendré a mis niños corriendo por la casa 24/7, mi hija que necesita 

que la acerque a algún lado todos los días, en los momentos menos 

oportunos, y, vacaciones significan para mis hijos, rienda 

suelta para invitar amigos...a casa, obvio!...

Lo que representa 

enormes cantidades de comida para mitigar el clima frío y el tedio,  

más bien toneladas de comida, sip!...mis niños (y sus amigos), 

están en crecimiento...

Speaking of which, this is also the perfect time to visit 

our beach house and get away from the city and the chaos. 

If you're a mother, you will understand...Keeping 

my kids entertaining without destroying the entire house 

can only last so long. 

Por lo tanto, es también el momento ideal para ir a la casa 

de la playa y alejarnos de la ciudad y del caos. Si eres mamá, 

me vas a entender...Mantener a los peques entretenidos sin 

destruir toda la casa solo se consigue por un tiempo limitado.

The beach is the perfect distraction! Besides, going to the movies, 

sleeping until noon and inviting friends to play are fun only 

for the first couple of days... That being said, I will spend 

the next two weeks trying to make the best of this vacations and 

hopefully, I won't lose my mind.

¡La playa es la distracción perfecta!, Además, ir al cine, dormir 

hasta tarde e invitar amigos a jugar solo es divertido por 

unos días... Dicho esto, Intentaré pasar las próximas dos 

semanas tratando de hacer lo mejor de estas vacaciones y con 

suerte, conseguiré mantener la cordura.

The good thing is I will spend lots of time with my boys, 

my gorgeous Ana and my dearest friends... Nothing beats 

family time! So I will stop rambling and start making plans for 

the weekend. First thing first: beach house. I can already hear 

the angels singing!

Lo bueno es que pasaré mucho tiempo con mis hombres, con mi 

preciosa Ana y mis amigos...¡No hay nada mejor que pasar tiempo 

con la familia!. Así que voy a dejar de divagar y empezaré 

a organizar este fin de semana. Para empezar...la playa...

Ya puedo oír a los ángeles cantando!
