Having awakened an hour impossible, I could see the most spectacular sunrise on the first day of September, rising through the snowy mountains of Santiago, with clouds of an indescribably and vibrant shade of pinkish coral color, outlined in silver...

Habiendo despertado a una hora imposible, pude ver el amanecer más espectacular en el primer día de septiembre, elevándose por las montañas nevadas de Santiago, con nubes de un impresionante y vibrante color coral rosado, delineadas en plata ...

...and once in San Alfonso, there will be long beach walks, delicious sea food, simple, effortless and comfortable clothes, extremely competitive board games with the children, late dinners outside under the sunset...and tomorrow...

... y una vez en San Alfonso, habrá largas caminatas por la playa, mariscos y pescados deliciosos, ropa sencilla, simple y cómoda, extremadamente competitivos juegos de mesa con los niños, cenas tardías afuera, bajo la puesta de sol...y mañana...

...tomorrow, I'll wake up with the loud sound of the waves outside my window, and the laughter of my men while having breakfast and planning adventures and treasure hunting at the beach...

...mañana, me despertaré con el sonido estruendoso de las olas frente a mi ventana, y la risa de mis hombres mientras desayunan y planifican aventuras y búsquedas de tesoros en la playa...

...happiness is knowing you are working your butt off day after day and it's actually getting you somewhere...

Simply Weekend

The cyclist, le cycliste, syklisten, o ciclista, der radfahrer, biciklist, 骑车人, ο ποδηλάτης, il ciclista, el ciclista...

Let me just take a moment to celebrate that Spring is coming to this side of the world, I'm certainly so excited I can't even type properly. This weekend the sun finally peeked through the clouds and we're currently enjoying a nice warm breeze...

I'm super happy because now I can share outdoors activities with my kids that they seem to enjoy so much, specially when it comes to biking.

Déjenme tomarme un momento para celebrar la Primavera que está por llegar a este lado del mundo, estoy tan emocionada que apenas puedo "tipear" propiamente. Este fin de semana el sol finalmente se asomó entre las nubes y estamos disfrutando de una agradable brisa cálida...

Estoy super contenta porque ahora podemos compartir las actividades al aire libre que mis chicos disfrutan tanto, especialmente si se trata de andar en bicicleta.

And this Saturday Luka faced a major challenge riding his bicycle without those small training wheels for the first time. Fortunately, his dad, brother and me were there to support him (or catch him!) so it all turned out okay.

Y este sábado Luka enfrentó un gran desafío montando su bicicleta sin ruedas de entrenamiento por primera vez. 

Afortunadamente, su papá, su hermano y yo estuvimos ahí para apoyarlo (o atraparlo!) así que todo resultó perfecto.

Esteban, aka "best big brother of the world" helped with the proper encouragement and demonstrations, and me...ME? Ok, I was terrified!...I could't let him go!...there wasn't too much help from my side...(and yep! it is very difficult to maintain the hairdo while running behind a bike!)
Esteban, alias "el mejor hermano del mundo" ayudó con los adecuados estímulos y demostraciones, y yo...¿YO? Bueno, ¡yo estaba aterrorizada!...¡No podía soltarlo!...no hubo mucha ayuda de mi lado...( y ¡sip! ¡es muy difícil mantener el peinado cuando estás corriendo detrás de una bicicleta!)

As you may have noticed, it was a huge deal but luckily Luky managed to master this skill (with some tiny difficulties but who's counting?)

Como habrán notado, fue un gran desafío pero afortunadamente Luky consiguió dominar esta habilidad (con algunas pequeñísimas dificultades pero ¿Quién está contando?)

Going for a walk around the neighborhood or riding the bike on the beach are one of the things that I most look forward for the warm afternoons next month. 

Salir a caminar por el barrio o andar en bicicleta por la playa durante las tardes cálidas son algunas de las cosas que espero con más ilusión para mes que viene.

Where do I start? How do I tell my dad happy Father’s Day and 

really do it justice? I mean, I don’t think I’ll ever have 

enough time to write how much he means to me. 

Do I thank him? After all, he did a lot for me and he taught me 

everything. Seems only right to thank him.
¿Por dónde empiezo? De qué forma le deseo a mi papá feliz día 
del padre y realmente le hago justicia? Es decir, no creo que 
jamás tenga suficiente tiempo para escribirle cuánto significa 
para mi. ¿Le doy las gracias? después de todo, él hizo tanto 
por mi y me enseñó tantas cosas que parece justo agradecérselo.

14. that first ride in your Torino. When you drove really fast 

and made it “dance” right and left and scared me to DEATH! 

Remember what I said? “Let’s do it again!” That’s got to be one 

of the most memorable momments in my life with you. I got so much 

excitement from that ride, I will never forget it. 
14. esa primera vuelta en tu Torino. Cuando manejaste muy rápido 
y lo hiciste "bailar" de derecha a izquierda ¡y me diste un susto 
bárbaro! ¿Te acuerdas lo que dije? "¡Otra vez, papi!" Ese fue uno

no lo voy a olvidar nunca.

15. teaching me to believe in my ideals.

16. my motorcicle. It wasn’t very big or powerful, but I 

did more than ok driving that thing. Well, unless you count that 

last crash, and Andrea’s brocken leg… Really sorry about that..

had no more patience with me...And buying every extravagant
